Jane the Virgin season 4: Who is the narrator? Reveal will come

Who is the narrator

Who is the narrator of Jane the Virgin? While with most shows this may be an irrelevant question, there is actually some merit here. This is a character who is referenced as a part of this universe, and to take that another step further, he’s referred to himself as such at various points of the series’ run. The love for the narrator also extends beyond just the story, given that Anthony Mendez have been the recipient of multiple Emmy nominations.

So when are you finally going to learn the truth about who this man really is, whether it be Jane’s son Mateo, someone else related to her family, or someone dead speaking from beyond the grave watching from Heaven? (No matter who it is, there are some parts of the narration that could be perceived as invasion and/or awkward after the fact.) There are more theories out there than could be possibly condensed within a single article, but a reveal will be coming.

Speaking per TVLine, executive producer Jennie Urman confirms that there will be a reveal by the end of the series finale, and that this reveal will be especially important to the final two scenes of the series — whatever they may be.

If you think now as to when this big reveal will take place, it could be sooner than you’d think. Just remember for a moment here that earlier on in season 3, the narrator noted that the show was at the midway point of its story, something that suggests the show could be ending either with season 4 or season 5. Given its lower ratings for The CW and actor contracts typically running six or seven seasons at most, this is not a show meant to run ten or eleven seasons. The only thing that you can really hope for is that the show gets a chance to announce its final season in advance so that everyone can prepare to send it off properly.

Alas, the wait for season 4 is a long one

Remember that Jane the Virgin is not airing on The CW until this fall, and in a new timeslot Friday nights to go along with it. For more on that, take a look at the full schedule here.
