‘Madam Secretary’ season 3, episode 14: The first details are in for ‘Labor of Love’

Everyone out there who loves “Madam Secretary,” likely knows that waiting is hard at this point. The show’s been on hiatus since before February began, and the waiting is not letting up at all over the next couple of weeks. The show is not returning with new episodes until Sunday, March 5, but based on the first details that we’ve got for you below for the episode entitled “Labor of Love” (plus the new photo above) there’s a great deal to look forward to.

Given that this is Valentine’s Day, it also seems appropriate that relationships be a theme of this episode — though we expect said relationships, in “Madam Secretary” fashion, to be complex and relatable rather than something that is strictly out of a fairy tale.

Synopsis – “When the upcoming marriage of two star-crossed lovers from Colombia is in jeopardy, Elizabeth works to reunite the son of the Colombian president and the daughter of the rebel leader, whose union is at the heart of an important peace deal after years of civil war. Also, Henry prepares to send his operative undercover, Jay deals with his tenuous marital situation, and Daisy makes a shocking discovery regarding Kevin.”

Cupid / matchmaker is not a role that we see Elizabeth play very often, so there could be a little bit of fun that comes out of that. As for Henry, much of the mystery for his story ahead revolves around how deep he gets involved in his mission … and also how the show writes around Tim Daly’s recent injury. As for Daisy, we saw the beginnings of a possible romantic subplot for her on the last new episode, but whatever she learns about Kevin could stop that in its tracks.

For those of you looking for a promo (we don’t blame you), odds are that CBS will choose to premiere one either at the end of the month or in early March; in other words, you do still have a little while to wait before we get around to that.
