‘Bull’ episode 13 preview: Who’s playing games?

Bull -

Bull” is coming back on the air Tuesday night after a brief hiatus on CBS, and based on the sneak peek below, it feels fair to say that you’re in for a very different episode than any we’ve seen yet in “The Fall.”

Within this episode, you’re going to be seeing Dr. Bull get immersed into the world of Major League Gaming, and over the course of the episode, try to figure out if anyone is gaming the system. There are questions aplenty surrounding whether or not one of the top players within the eSports world deliberately tanked a match for the sake of financial benefit.

Other than provided a cool new case for Michael Weatherly and company, one of the other cool things that could come from this episode is an opportunity to introduce many of this show’s viewers to a world that they may not even know exists. We’re of a generation that is moderately familiar with professional video gaming — we say this as someone who once roomed with someone who went to tournaments in college — so we’re interested in seeing how it’s presented here. Based on the promo, it does feel like there is a good degree of authenticity in what they’re is trying to do. Having a number of people from this world involved in the episode probably helps further in the creation of that.

Also, is Dr. Bull getting his flirt on? If nothing else, you’ve got the line “you’re cute … but I don’t date employees” thrown in his direction. Take that however you will. It would be nice to see Bull have a love interest at some point before the end of the season, just so we could start to get to know him a little bit better beyond his professional life. even though we’ve learned some of his past with his father and also met the character of Isabella Colon, this is not a man who excels at opening up.

What do you think of this promo, and of throwing Bull into this sort of world? Share below, and you can also head over here if you want to read a little bit more news regarding this upcoming episode of the show.
