‘Bull’ episode 13 preview: ‘The Fall’ takes on eSports; Morgan Webb, Kevin “Purge” Godec guest star

Bull -

The bad news tonight for fans of “Bull” is that unfortunately, there is no new episode tonight. Of course, we would’ve liked to have another installment on the air, but given that there are several new episodes airing during the month of February (it is sweeps, after all), be prepared for many more stories that are going to be coming up. This includes “The Fall” on February 7, which, for the record, is not a spin-off of the Netflix series starring Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan.

What we are going to see on this episode is a story all about eSports, which continues to show that “Bull” is trying to be more cutting-edge than the majority of other shows on CBS. (Remember that we also recently got a case about self-driving cars.) This is also an episode that is going to feature Morgan Webb and Kevin “Purge” Godec (who are both very familiar to gamers and eSports fans alike) as Video Game Championship Announcers Neely and Patrick. We remember Webb from all the way back from “X-Play” when Tech TV was still a network on the air.

Synopsis – “When Bull helps a professional eSports video game player accused of throwing a championship game sue his former team manager for defamation, his trial strategy is to prove his client is a compulsive winner who is psychologically incapable of losing on purpose.”

For many viewers of the show, we feel like part of the entertainment here is going to come out of seeing a world that they are altogether familiar with. As for some potential viewers who are familiar with eSports, maybe this will be an opportunity to see just how authentic “Bull” makes this world. We figure that one of the biggest challenges out there for the show is going to be when it comes to licensing. Hopefully we’re not just going to get some of those fake video-games that we tend to see on many other shows airing across TV.
