‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6: Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, cast heading to New York Comic-Con

Traditionally, “Pretty Little Liars” is not a show you tend to think about anytime that you tend to think about when conjuring up notions of Comic-Con in your head. After all, this is a show that superficially doesn’t have too much to do with comic culture.

Then again, think about things this way: The show does have heroes and villains, people identified by specific costumes (see “A”), secret lairs, and complicated story arcs. While there are no super-powers, it has some other common threads. (The show also is based on a book series, which is fairly close.)

So when you think about it, is it really that shocking to see the cast and crew assembling at New York Comic-Con later this year? Not really, especially when you consider that these conventions have become more and more about TV in recent years, anyway. The confirmed list of attendees will take place on Friday, October 9, and Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, Ashley Benson, Troian Bellisario and Sasha Pieterse will all be in attendance (per TVLine). Executive producers Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick and Joseph Dougherty will also be present.

Some of the main discussion points for this panel are more than likely going to be the events from the show’s summer finale, including the big reveal of Charlotte a.k.a. CeCe Drake as “A.” Also, we anticipate some sort of explanation as to what the jump forward five years for the show is going to look like.
