‘America’s Got Talent’ preview: Freckled Sky, Myq Kaplan, 3 Shades of Blue appearing next week
The first live show for “America’s Got Talent” aired on NBC earlier this week, and for the most part we are able to say that it was a pretty predictable affair. The majority of the acts who we thought would get through did, and we’re not really that surprised about Alondra Santos given that she was a young singer and those tend to do very well in the voting.
So what about next week? We’ll be back on Monday with rankings of the twelve acts coming up, but we thought that for now we’d at least reveal just who the performers are: Freckled Sky (innovative dance act), Arielle Baril (opera singer), Ira (goofy puppet act), Animation Crew (self-explanatory), 3 Shades of Blue (band), Myq Kaplan (comedian), Damone Rippy (water act), Sharon Irving (singer), Derek Hughes (magician), Craig Lewis Band (music act), DM Nation (dance crew), Uzeyer Novruzov (circus performer).
As for who we are the most excited to see of this group, we’re admittedly a little biased since we’ve followed Kaplan’s career for years and have seen him on other shows. We also know that he’s got a wide range of material he can bust out at any moment.
Obviously, there will be some intrigue around Freckled Sky, Arielle Baril, and Sharon Irving given that they were all golden buzzer recipients earlier on in the competition. The Craig Lewis Band also got one courtesy of Michael Buble. This is a pretty accomplished lineup, and that’s a good thing given that there are a whole seven of them advancing. That’s a good percentage of the acts compared to past seasons of the show.
