‘Gotham’ season 2 spoilers: Chris Chalk promoted officially to series regular

Gotham -Clearly, “Gotham” is not done just yet when it comes to their promotions. Hours after it was first learned that Nicholas D’Agosto (Harvey Dent) was promoted to series regular for the upcoming second season, we’ve also now scored some official word that the same can be said for Chris Chalk.

As first reported by TVLine, Chalk will be a regular in his new and very-important role of Lucius Fox, a tech guru who has some important roles to play with Wayne Enterprises and Bruce Wayne in particular over the coming years. Those who know the comics or have seen the Christopher Nolan films know already just how important we are talking about here.

The real question that many may have at the moment is just how many big characters this series really needs. Think about it for a minute here: James Gordon, Harvey Bullock, Oswald Cobblepot, Edward Nygma, Barbara Keen, Leslie Thompkins, Dent, Bruce Wayne, Alfred, Selina Kyle, and now Lucius are all going to be important characters seemingly in the second season. The only one we’re not sure about is Barbara. That’s a ton of major characters for a comic-book show! It would be even more if Fish Mooney was still set to be an important player on the show, or if Carmine Falcone had decided to stay in business.

The way that this series will most likely make all of these roles work is a simple matter of arranging out screen time. While these characters are all going to be regulars, there’s no guarantee in the slightest that you’ll be seeing them every episode this season.
