‘Arrow’ / ‘The Flash’ spin-off spoilers: When does filming start?

The latest -One of the questions we’ve had in regards to the upcoming “Arrow” / “The Flash” spin-off series has been rather simple: When in the world is this series going to film, and when will it air? There are many reasons this is important, with one of the biggest ones being that for characters like The Atom, it is feasible that you could continue to feature him on “Arrow” before moving him to the spin-off in the future.

Well, we know now that if that does happen, it will probably be fairly limited at least for the first half of “Arrow” season 4, and the same goes for Martin Stein on “The Flash” season 2. Speaking per Broadway World, Victor Garber gave us a little bit of a sense as to what will be planned here:

“Yeah, I think it’s going to be a very fun ride. I really honestly can’t tell you much about it except it is completely new and it will involve a lot of interesting people. No. We haven’t filmed any of it yet – but, it is going straight to series. We start filming in August and it will be on in January. Yes, it will be on the CW.”

This show is still so secretive that Garber cannot really talk about one of the biggest mysteries out there: Whether or not the other half of Firestorm in Robbie Amell is going to be appearing on the show. Sure, we know that the status of Caity Lotz is also high on the list, but given that Garber has not ever filmed a single scene with her on the show, it is probably not as great of a priority.
