‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11 spoilers: The full story of ‘One Flight Down’

The future -Over the weekend, we discussed further the story of “One Flight Down,” the upcoming 20th episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” airing on April 16 that will feature a traumatic situation for some of the doctors at the Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital. After all, a plane crash is the very reason why this hospital bears its name; Mark and Lexie died as a result of the events in “Flight,” and a lawsuit led to many of the surviving doctors purchasing the hospital.

We have said already one of our chief concerns about this particular episode is that it feels very coincidental that there would be a plane crash in Seattle, and the same doctors would be treating it that have already been through this situation before. It is such a one-in-a-million circumstance, and there have already been some of those on this show in between the storm and the shooting. It could still be a stellar episode, but we have some reservations about putting us through this same storyline once again.

Nonetheless, the episode is happening regardless of what we think about it superficially, and you can check out the short synopsis for it below:

“A small plane crash in Seattle causes multiple casualties and brings back horrible memories for the doctors, especially Meredith and Arizona. Meanwhile, friction between Owen and Amelia makes for an uncomfortable working situation for Stephanie.”

For others out there concerned about the plane story redux, hopefully you can focus instead on Amelia and Owen. You want to think that these two are closer to being together, but there are also a variety of problems standing in their way. Principally, the two have a ton of baggage. They are respectful to each other’s difficult circumstances, but eventually what they carry could cause things between them to boil over.
