‘Bones’ season 9 spoilers: David Boreanaz takes on complicated finale

Take a look -Season 9 of “Bones” is in the home stretch now, and with the return of the Ghost Killer coming up on the new episode Monday night, you know that things are going to be very exciting again.  For those of you like us who have felt like the lead characters need a little bit more to do, you will be pleased by this.

Also, we know a thing or two more now about what could be a shocking, explosive, and also cliffhangery (we’re making up that word) finale airing on Monday, May 12. According to a report from E! News, David Boreanaz is set to direct an episode that features his character Booth handling the death of a man who gave him information tied to a larger cover-up. Can anyone say “conspiracy” quickly enough here? This is a case that could impact Booth’s future in a variety of different ways, especially as he ponders a new title that could mean more time in the field.

There is no direct mention of the Ghost Killer when it comes to this episode, but we’re still suspicious that they could be involved. It is the closest thing now that the series has to a big bad, and you know that the show would like to have something like this to hype up. Given that the renewal for a tenth season was announced a long time ago, there is also zero reason to suspect that Fox and the producers couldn’t have planned it out for this case to last until the next season is over. (It’s not confirmed that next year will be the end, but we think it is fairly likely.)
