‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5 spoilers: Shaun Sipos to work alongside Nina Dobrev
Who is Shaun Sipos? Before we do anything else within the body of this article, we will start by addressing this. The actor is a CW favorite, having appeared in the past on both the “Melrose Place” revival and also “Life, Unexpected.” His age falls in between that of Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, and he’s Canadian, hailing originally from British Columbia.
Now, we turn to who he is in the context of “The Vampire Diaries.” According to E! News, the actor is going to be playing Aaron, a guy who comes to Whitmore College (the setting for at least part of the story this year) in an effort to try and move forward with his life after going through some pretty nasty hurdles in the past. It’s a fresh start, and a chance to get away from his demons.
Well … he may also get closer to Elena in the process. He and Nina Dobrev’s character will find common ground in what they’ve been through, and while he may or may not be a full-fledged love interest, there will likely be some sort of tension that comes out of a new, good-looking guy showing up on campus and developing a bond with her while she is with Damon.
As of right now, it feels as though producers are taking a wait-and-see approach with Sipos. He is listed as recurring, and will likely appear for sure in a few episodes. His stay could be longer, and much of that will depend on just what the reaction is to him being around.
Just in case you cannot wait for more “Vampire Diaries” news, the video here featuring Michael Trevino may help to tide you over. The new season premieres on The CW starting on Thursday, October 3 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.
