Chicago Med season 12 premiere date revealed; what is ahead?

For those who have been eager to learn more about Chicago Med season 12 over at NBC, let’s just say there are reasons for celebration!

After all, today the network revealed the entirety of the fall schedule, and that includes a launch date of Wednesday, October 7 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. It will be followed once more by the other shows in the franchise in Chicago Fire and Chicago PD — based on where things stand right now, there is no reason to think there will be any major changes.

As for what the story is going to be for Chicago Med season 12, let’s just start by saying that we have a hard time imagining that there is going to be any sort of potentially big change. This is a series that obviously knows what it is at this point and because of that, there is no logical reason for them to change all that much. You have doctors, isolated cases, but also larger arcs about their personalities and their relationships. There was huge stuff at the end when it comes to Hannah and Archer in particular, so how do you continue that? One way or another, we are sure that everyone behind the scenes already has some plans.

Is there anything else to expect in general?

Well, do not be shocked in the event that there will be another crossover eventually, but we do not imagine that it is something that will take place right away. That is yet another thing, at least on the surface, that the producers can always have at their disposal.

There is also no indication at the moment that this will be the final season of Chicago Med. We do tend to think that so long as the ratings are there, the show can keep moving forward.
