‘The Bridge’ episode 7 preview: Diane Kruger’s Sonya and a manhunt
On this week’s “The Bridge,” expect to see quite a bit when it comes to drama. We’re deep now into the show’s freshman run, and despite some initial flaws (some disjointed stories here and there), there have also been some fantastic moments. Just learning more about Sonya Cross’ backstory last week was particularly effective, as both Ted Levine and Diane Kruger gave their strongest performances of the entire season so far.
For Wednesday’s episode, the mission to catch the killer (or “The Beast,” if you prefer the nickname) kicks into high gear as Sonya and the police start to get closer to who they think is culpable. Take a look at the short synopsis below for more:
“The EPPD corners their prime suspect. Charlotte questions Ray’s true intentions. Linder crosses the border and takes on his most difficult case yet.”
Here’s a little bit of a bizarre theory: Could Ray somehow be the killer? We wonder why this guy has even showed up at this point, and if there is any real point otherwise for Charlotte being there. She’s proven to be the least-interesting part of the show, and even when she was around Marco, we wanted to scream at him to run the other way.
Given that there are still multiple episodes left this season, we’re not so willing to sit here and say that the killer is going to be bagged just yet on the show. There are still many things that could go wrong, and given what we know about these serial murder shows, the killer is always at least a few steps ahead.
