NBC’s ‘Revolution’ season 2 spoilers: Meet Rachel’s father!
Are you ready for some big-time casting scoop when it comes to “Revolution” season 2? Well straight from Comic-Con, we have the following news about another new face joining the show!
During the season 2 panel discussion, it was announced that former “7th Heaven” star Stephen Collins is joining the show, and he will be taking on the role of Rachel’s father in the episodes ahead. While speaking to the audience at the show’s panel, executive producer Rockne S. O’Bannon (who is coming over to the show after the demise of “Cult”) had the following to say about what he will bring to the world:
“[He] brings an entirely new perspective on her, her upbringing … He’s a very important part of the world we got to inhabit in the first part of the season.”
Of course, it also has to be mentioned that one of the other reasons that this character is appealing is that there is now a completely new generation that you can add to the show that was already present here, and that will create more dynamics for Rachel, Charlie, and the new found man in the picture. We just hope that there are not any more dark and horrible secrets that are being kept within this family, mostly because the last thing that they need is more inwardly angst that is just trying slowly and surely to climb out.
What do you think about Collins’ casting, and are you getting more excited about this season as you hear more and more details? As always, we want to hear some more of your thoughts below!
