‘Breaking Bad’ season 5 spoilers: Vince Gilligan on ‘Better Call Saul,’ Comic-Con
Nonetheless, he tells Entertainment Weekly while at the convention this weekend that he is excited to see what happens when it comes to the fan reaction, and he is very “proud” of how the cast chose to wrap things up.
As for the current state of the “Better Call Saul” spin-off featuring Bob Odenkirk, Gilligan was afraid to confirm anything with the belief that it would anger studios; however, he was still kind enough to say the following:
“At this point, there is no official set-in-stone plan for a spin-off, but I have my fingers crossed and we’re working very hard on it.”
If there is a spin-off, we imagine that it will probably not be announced in great detail until after the end of the flagship show, mostly out of fear that it could in some way spoil something that happens during the “Breaking Bad” ending.
