Criminal Minds: Evolution season 19 episode 4 preview: Imitation game

It is fairly clear at this point that Criminal Minds: Evolution season 19 has had no issue taking its time through the first three episodes. Yet, are we building up to something big?

In the midst of the various cases that the BAU has looked at so far, one simple thing has remained rather clear: We are gearing up for a major story revolving around a copycat. Or, at the very least, someone who seems completely inspired by what Elias Voit did. This is also someone who would not put any stock into anything that he is saying now, mostly because he is too busy continuing to drive themselves down the macabre hole of madness and murder. The real push into all of this is only just beginning.

In some of the Criminal Minds: Evolution promotional material before the season, this Big Bad is known as “The Fan,” and we should have an opportunity to see more of them over time.

As for what else we know about episode 4 in particular…

Based on a lot of pre-season interviews, this is an installment directed by cast member Adam Rodriguez. Not only that, but it will mark the beginning of some sort of arc for Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie. His role was originally meant to be just a one-episode gig, but it was expanded once it became clear that the producers were really happy with his work. (Also, remember that he filmed this part before he became a breakout star, another bit of evidence that sometimes, a show like this can get lucky casting the right person at the best possible time.)
