The Rookie season 9 premiere date: a June 2026 update
Is there any chance at all that we are going to hear more about The Rookie season 9 between now and the end of June?
Of course, it only makes sense to kick things off here with a reminder that the cast and crew are not only going to be back for another chapter, but they certainly have a lot of story to potentially bring to the screen. Just remember the way in which season 8 wrapped, where we had a chance to see that huge cliffhanger surrounding Tim and Lucy. The good news, at least for the time being, is that they are engaged. The bad news, however, is that they are both captured. It remains to be seen what exactly is going to be happening with the two of them now, or if they will be able to get out of this situation on their own. We do believe that they are capable of it, so there is that.

So when are we going to learn more about when The Rookie is actually back? It would be awesome in the event it happened this fall, but that is not set to happen at present. Instead, we tend to think that we’re going to get an announcement this fall, with the show itself coming in January. There has been a good pattern of that so far, so why do anything big to deviate from that now?
Two other things to note
First and foremost, there is no confirmation that season 9 is going to be the final one, so you do not have to worry about that. Meanwhile, we also have another spin-off coming in The Rookie: North that is set to star Jay Ellis.
