DTF St. Louis episode 6 promo: Did Carol kill Floyd?

With only two episodes left in DTF St. Louis on HBO, it is easy to see both of them as majorly significant in their own way. So what do we stand to learn?

Well, first and foremost, we are well-aware of the fact that there is a whole tornado of questions that we have regarding the central mystery — including who the real suspects are. The promo for episode 6, which first aired last night, did strongly indicate that Plumb and the whole team is poised to look even further in the direction of Carol. We know that there is such a desperation to learn about her past that faking a job application is a part of the deal to unseal some records … but will that actually happen? It is at least one thing we have to watch out for through the upcoming installment.

As for what else we are going to see, how is Clark going to react to the investigation inching closer to the truth? Despite the complicated nature of his relationship with Carol, his reaction to much of the interrogation has been straightforward. He was more open early on but as of late, he’s tried his best to inch away from speaking out further. He certainly does not want anyone to know the full truth.

Now with all of that being said, is he hiding the truth because he is guilty, or he is just concerned of the other damage it could cause? While we recognize that Clark’s work at the station is one of the sillier parts of the show, it does serve as a reminder that he is a public figure. He has built up a reputation over a long span of time…
