We know that from a viewership standpoint, The Traitors UK season 4 finale proved to be all sorts of epic on BBC One. Can we say the same thing about its audience now?

Well, without further ado, let’s both get into it and also commence a little bit of a ratings celebration. According to a report coming in from Deadline, the British reality series ended up generating 9.4 million viewers for its grand finale, which featured the Traitor team of Rachel and Stephen pulling off the victory. This is the most-watched episode yet for the non-celebrity version of the series. The celebrity version this past fall peaked higher, but that makes sense when you had people like Alan Carr and Nick Mohammed making it to the very end of the show.

Does this further validate the BBC giving The Traitors UK a renewal through season 5? Absolutely and to be honest, we tend to think that this is only the beginning for a show like this. It does still have a super-high ceiling as the brand continues to pick up steam. We worry on some level about oversaturation but at the same time, the delivery of the seasons is smart. It is done in a way where thy are spread out but at the same time, concentrated into a single month. You get a lot of entertainment and then, you are stuck waiting for a reasonable amount of time.

What we are super-curious about is what is going to happen in America moving forward, given that NBC has greenlit their own version of the format featuring everyday people. Our hope is that we will of course see that at some point this year.
