Power Book IV: Force series finale: EP on Power: Legacy project

We have made it to the other side now of the Power Book IV: Force series finale, but what exactly is happening on the other side?

Well, one of the things that we have been wondering about for a while now is the state of Power: Legacy, which is another planned show in development. This is something that would follow up the events of the show and with that, feature both Tommy Egan alongside Tariq St. Patrick. If you love the idea of an epic team-up in New York City, this will be very-much worth watching. However, will it actually happen?

Speaking to Deadline, Force showrunner Gary Lennon (who has been working to develop Legacy) did indicate that nothing is certain — but also shared his hopes for the long-term future as well:

You will be the first to know. My fantasy, and I’m just going to say it out loud to speak it into existence, is Tommy Egan, The Movie. I have been developing a movie. We’ve already started to talk it out and write down a bit of an outline for a Tommy Egan movie.

Where would that fall in the timeline? There’s a chance that it could actually be after Legacy, but there is obviously a lot that needs to be worked out here. In the end, the major thing that matters at this point is simply that Starz gets on board with whatever the future plans are. They have supported this franchise longer than anyone but at the same time, it was also seemingly their decision to end this spin-off with season 3. At the very least, they tipped everyone off early enough so that they could plan better for a specific endgame.
