Only Murders in the Building season 5: A Mayor Tillman tease?

In less than 24 hours, a new episode of Only Murders in the Building season 5 is poised to arrive on Hulu. What can say about it?

Well, early details suggest that this is going to be a story that dives a little bit deeper into Oliver’s past and with that, there is a chance that we learn a little bit more about both Lorraine and Sofia — two of the lead suspects at present. It is certainly our hope here that we are going to also see some new suspects emerge … and could Mayor Tillman be one of them?

Well, we will be quick to admit that this is someone who we have had on our own murder-board for a while, and for a few reasons. First and foremost, this is someone who would want to get rid of people who he may have had ties to in his past. Take, for starters, Nicky — they don’t have a confirmed connection, but it does still feel possible. Also, he has conveniently showed up so far this season at two different places that one of the trio was at, and tried to make himself into someone who is quite goofy and fun-loving. Nothing adds up here fully…

Speaking to People Magazine, Keegan-Michael Key noted that “there is some fun stretching of the artistic muscles that I get to do” as this character, but could not offer any further clues — including if he even turns up again this season. At this point though, it feels likely. This is someone who has appeared on two different instances already, so why not try to keep that going?
