‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9, episode 20 preview: Another Ellen Pompeo scene
As you may have seen previously in our last “Grey’s Anatomy” preview article, Meredith is going to receive some rather unsettling news on Thursday night’s new episode: while there is no guarantee that she is going to be diagnosed with Alzheimer’s later on in life, she does have some of the genetic markers for it coming later on in her life.
With that in mind, this is certainly going to cause a great deal of anxiety for the character. As you can see in the video sneak peek below, Meredith makes the decision that she wants to get her will with Derek re-done, and she tells him about it in a pretty contentious scene inside of a stairwell. Ellen Pompeo’s character is especially insistent on it thanks to the fact that she and Derek currently have Lexie listed as the person responsible for taking care of Zola if something happens to that … and we already know that this is not going to happen. (Sorry to bring up bad memories there!)
We expect Meredith’s concern over potentially having the carriers for this disease to play out over the next several weeks leading up to the finale, which is when we will hopefully find out a little bit more about her pregnancy. Is she far enough along right now to give birth during the finale? We don’t know if that is going to happen, but the pregnancy itself is certainly causing her a great deal of stress and paranoia at this very moment.
Do you think that Meredith is handling this the right way? If you do want to read some more scoop on the “Grey’s Anatomy” finale, be sure to head on over to the link here.

I’m way past Go disliking scrub nurse Rose, however I saw her on a Cascade ad and stopped using it until she was no longer on screen, but to have Mer fall down on the stairs with her little one aboard makes me really mad. Shonda, you are a smart woman with good writers, give us a break. Please let the baby be alright for Mer and Der. I cannot go through the summer thinking that when they almost had it all you screwed with the four of them. By the way, Zola is just darling and the love they give to her is what every family wants and needs in their life. Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
