‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: What’s next for the Charmings?
The Charming family reunion first happened during the season 2 premiere of “Once Upon a Time,” and then it ended up happening all over again Sunday night when Emma and Mary Margaret finally returned to David and Storybrooke. It seems on the surface like everyone is closer to their happy ending than they have ever been before; but unfortunately for this show, nothing is quite that easy. We already saw the likes of Cora and Captain Hook well on their way to the town, and this means that there will be trouble on the horizon almost as soon as when the show returns January 7.
So does Josh Dallas hope for some sort of peace for these characters soon? Speaking to TVLinet about the aftermath of the winter finale, he ended up giving a rather interesting answer that helps to tee up some stories we will be seeing beginning early next year:
“I hope [there will be a happy ever after] … But with all great epic love stories, there are always obstacles thrown in front of the lovers – particularly with our show. There are some things happening that the Charming family has to deal with. Cora and Hook are showing up, and we have something else happening in Storybrooke that needs our attention.”
One thing that we can confirm now? That immediately upon her arrival back in the Maine town, Charming will be handing the duties of town sheriff back to Emma. These characters still have quite a journey ahead of them; not only are they going to have tot adjust to actually being together again, but they will also soon realize that their actions following the well opening are going to lead to Regina busting out her evil side all over again.
