Bachelor in Paradise 2019 video: What’s next for Chris and Katie?

If you are thinking about the various couples who are on Bachelor in Paradise 2019 at the moment, none are more surprising than Chris and Katie. We would’ve never predicted the two of them together preseason — to be fair, though, we didn’t anticipate that Chris was going to end up with anyone given his track record on some of these shows.

Going into the season this time around, Chris claimed that he was approaching things with a very different mindset. He wanted to find a way in order to ensure that he could be with someone, and despite some uncertainty back when Jen was on the show, he chose Katie. He wants to be with her. Yet, judging from the sneak peek below, there are still questions about their relationship and their future together. There’s a sense of lethargy at the moment, and Katie would love to see a big, romantic gesture — Dean came all the way back to Paradise to claim that he wanted to be with Caelynn. Who would’ve thought that Dean would’ve been used as a model for any good behavior leading into this season?

Anyhow, a part of the problem for Katie and Chris is that they haven’t really had much of an opportunity to leave the beach and/or explore their relationship in a different way. That’s why she wants a date — she wants to see the two of them find a way to take things to the next level, if there is a way for the two of them to do so while in Paradise.

We do remain optimistic about the future of the two of them, largely for one reason and one reason only — they both seem to be all in on the idea of this. You need that commitment to the process in order for anything to have a chance. However, there is something more that you need to actually make things work: A consistent spark and an ability to really listen to one another.
