SEAL Team season 2

What SEAL Team is currently trying to do within its second season is deliver on what it means to be in this line of work — really in just about every way possible. With Jason, we’ve seen what it’s like coping with real-life tragedy and also the struggle that comes with trying to find ways to make the necessary amount of cash. Meanwhile, Ray’s in the midst of a crisis of faith, Sonny and Davis are finding themselves in a long-term relationship, and if you’re up to date on the show right now, you already know a certain extent about what’s going on with Clay.

When it comes to the character of Brett Swan, what we’re seeing is a different sort of struggle, one that has to do with mental health. It’s a serious issue that can’t be forgotten about, one that impacts countless active-duty military as well as veterans. It’s an issue that requires constant care and if nobody helps them, they suffer in silence. It’s a powerful thing to think about and it could be a big part of this upcoming episode.

For more, CarterMatt offers up the official SEAL Team season 2 episode 19 synopsis with some more information as to what’s coming up next:

“Medicate and Isolate” – While Bravo Team is on a recovery mission in Mali, their friend, former Navy SEAL Brett Swan (Tony Curran), continues to struggle with his mental health, Wednesday, April 24 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

What’s interesting about this synopsis?

Beyond the struggle of Swan, we’d say that there are a couple of other elements here. For starters, let’s talk about the setting of Mali. Given how far away it is from the Philippines, where the current action is set, this could be a sign that we are seeing a sense of closure on Wednesday as to what’s going on there.

Of course, we are also very interested in knowing what is going on with Clay given that he is not even mentioned in this synopsis at all. This is a character whose life was on the line at the end of Wednesday’s episode and while we know that CBS isn’t going to spoil his fate in a synopsis, we recognize at the same time that the thirst for info is there! We certainly know that it is for us given how little info is out there and how desperate his situation seemed at the end of this past episode.
