Manifest episode 16 (finale) spoilers: ‘Estimated Time of Departure’

Manifest season 1

Do you want to know some of what lies ahead on Manifest episode 16, airing in one week’s time? This is the final episode of the season, and this is where everything we’ve seen so far is hitting the fan. There’s going to be a lot of drama, a number of surprises, and some twists and turns that hopefully are going to shift the series in an unexpected direction.

If this finale plays out anything like what we’ve seen with some other high-concept dramas over time, what we can imagine is that you will have a chance to see some key questions from the first season answered; however, in the process of that there could be many more that are introduced for the second season down the road. There’s no season 2 renewal for Manifest just yet, but it feels almost like a foregone conclusion with how much people are enjoying the show. Beyond that, we also do think that it just makes sense for a series like this to play ahead with a second season in mind – how could this end with just one???

As far as the story goes for the finale, check out the official synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below:

02/18/2019 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Monday) : SEASON 1 FINALE – Ben (Josh Dallas) and Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) must confront a dire threat to the passengers’ safety when Griffin (guest star Marc Menchaca) schemes to take the callings public. Meanwhile, tensions between Jared (J.R. Ramirez) and Zeke (guest star Matt Long) reach a boiling point, and Ben, Grace (Athena Karkanis), and Olive (Luna Blaise) make a devastating discovery. Also starring Jack Messina and Parveen Kaur.

What could the possible cliffhanger for the end of the season be? We think signs are pointing towards whatever Ben, Grace, and Olive end up discovering. The story between Jared, Zeke, and Michaela feels like the sort of thing destined to end this season; in general, we personally just hope that Michaela’s romantic life is one of the story threads that is left behind in season 1; we feel like there’s only so much more play that we can really get out of this.

Meanwhile, we think that the big takeaway from the finale will be that if you were a passenger on flight 828, you may as well get used to the idea that your life will always have a degree of jeopardy. It’s just par for the course at this point.
