The Flash season 5 episode 10 video: What’s next for Nora, Eobard

At the end of the fall finale, the producers officially dropped the biggest bomb of the season by revealing that Barry’s daughter has been in cahoots with the Reverse-Flash for the majority of the time that we’ve known her. That doesn’t mean that she is evil; it may just mean that she is conflicted. We know that Eobard can be incredibly manipulative and he is the sort of person who would probably want to never tip his hand — that’s why he never mentioned what happened to the original Nora Allen to her. Instead, he’s got all of these other things, judging from the promo below, that he is dangling over her — including the fact that he has enabled her in order to see her father.
Basically, what we’ve come to learn here is that Nora probably saw Eobard as a sort of mentor of sorts for her speed in the future, and did not really understand, to go with that, the sort of psychological power that he could dangle over her. She wanted to just find a way to get to a desired end goal and this was it.
Now, we’re left to wonder how she finds a way to free herself from this situation, or if Barry is going to time-travel to the future at some point in order to deal with some of these problems himself. There is always an enormous risk that comes with messing with the timeline, and that is something that he is almost surely going to be aware of as he thinks through his options. After all, it’s certainly possible that there have already been some smaller ripples thanks to what happened in the 100th episode. (Time travel gaffes have been a pretty major theme of the entire Arrowverse as of late — just look at some of what John Constantine has done on Legends of Tomorrow so far this season. It’s certainly led to a little bit of chaos there…)
