Criminal Minds season 14 episode 9 video: Tara looks into shocking deaths

What’s coming on Criminal Minds season 14 episode 9 tonight? This episode, entitled “Broken Wing,” looks to be a big one for Aisha Tyler. For starters, she is the director of the episode; beyond just that, you’re going to have a chance to learn more about Tara Lewis’ past which is something we really welcome since we haven’t had much in the way of personal stories for her this season.

Let’s start kick things off here with the nature of the case itself, as the sneak peek below reveals that there are a series of heroin overdoses that are taking place across the West Coast featuring people who have just come out of rehab. On paper, there’s a simple explanation to this in that many patients upon leaving rehab end up using again, and because their body is not properly used to the dosage anymore it can lead to severe consequences. Relapses are often lethal, especially when you are talking about a drug like heroin.

Yet, it is fairly clear to us that there is something a little bit deeper going on here, mostly because the majority of these patients who suffered heroin overdoses were not actually heroin addicts in the first place. With that in mind, it’s a little bit harder to fathom as to why they would specifically go down this road. All of this seems like the work of an UnSub and with that in mind, it’s going to be up to the BAU in order to get a little bit information as to what’s going on here. The end result should be finding a way to ensure that justice is served, but where things could get twisted is that this case will end up having ties to Tara’s past. To be specific, we’re talking here about someone who Tara was once romantically connected with. Through this episode, you’re going to have a chance to learn who this person is and precisely how they are involved in whatever is going on here. One way or another, we imagine that this is going to make for an interesting, dynamic case with some fascinating results when the dust actually settles.

Ultimately, we do imagine that this episode could showcase some of the complications that exist within the rehab system in 2018 — alongside of course the issues with addiction that have been going on in this country for years.
