Shameless season 9 episode 7: Did Fiona move back home?
So what happened? For the first time, Ian seems to be completely gone and the Gallagher family has to take on whatever is in front of them. For Fiona, that meant realizing that her entire business operation was set to fall apart. She swam too deep without the funds to do so, and one mistake after another led to her needing to be bailed out of her apartment building. She still owes money, but after moving back home, she at least doesn’t have her credit destroyed and can find a way to start over.

Also, with Emmy Rossum leaving the series soon we like that we’re going to see her spend at least some time around the other members of the family again. Also, it feels pretty clear that she got her revenge on Ford, mostly with the help of Debbie as a key orchestrator in it.
Meanwhile, for Frank this week he tried his best to cement more of a relationship with Ingrid (Katey Sagal), even though he by no means is properly equipped in order to help her. Granted, Frank does have a tendency to get himself in a little bit over his head and this is yet another example of that. It’s not going to end well, and it’s mostly a question of when we’re going to see that particular disaster unfold fully. It’s not going to be pretty, but with Shameless, that’s also a big part of what makes it so entertaining. This is a series that happens to do disasters well.
For Carl, it does seem like his backstory makes him a surprisingly-appealing candidate for West Point. Meanwhile, we’ve got with Lip a somewhat-romantic storyline that is one part interesting, but in another seemingly mundane. We can’t quite figure that out just yet, but these two need to up their game moving into the second part of the season.
