American Horror Story: Apocalypse episode 6: First look at Jessica Lange
As a celebration for making it to 300,000 followers on Twitter on Wednesday, show executive producer / co-creator Ryan Murphy posted the photo below of the former series star, who is coming back for the sixth episode this season. The reason we know the precise episode is that this is the directorial debut of longtime cast member Sarah Paulson, who is taking advantage of the opportunity to flex a new artistic muscle this season, in addition to playing three different characters within the story. In summation, all of is a reminder that Paulson potentially does more than almost anyone in all of television.
Of course, trying to get further details on this appearance is almost impossible given that American Horror Story remains one of the most-mysterious shows in all of TV. FX does not release synopses on upcoming installments in advance, let alone additional information about them much of the time. They want some of these episodes to cause your jaw to hit the floor. Some seasons are more secretive than others; this is probably the second most-mysterious one we’ve seen from the show, save for maybe American Horror Story: Roanoke, which was so mysterious that they wouldn’t even really reveal the name of it going into its run.
