Supergirl season 4 spoilers: Who is Agent Jensen?

Supergirl season 3 episode 13

Supergirl season 4 has just cast one of its latest mysterious characters in Agent Jensen — and there’s already a reason to be excited about him.

Let’s kick things off here with the casting of the character. According to a new report via Deadline, Anthony Konechny (Almost Human, Witches of East End) has been brought on for the recurring role. Agent Jensen is someone who was recruited to be a part of the DEO with Alex Danvers, and with her in more of a leadership position, it makes some sense that she would do what she can in order to get some quality agents.

Yet, there’s another clear concern that comes with hiring any human in the midst of the larger Supergirl season 4 story. One of the key themes for this season seems to be about identity and acceptance, with one of the Big Bads for the year being Agent Liberty, a man convinced that aliens are a scourge on society. His goal is figuring out a way to put humans ahead of everyone else on the pecking order. It also wouldn’t be altogether shocking if it came out that Agent Jensen ends up being some sort of double agent for the bad guys — you want to have someone on the inside if you’re interested in having some sort of advantage.

Basically, we imagine that Agent Jensen is going to be a key player in at least the fall portion of Supergirl season 4 — regardless of if he helps Agent Liberty. Even if he turns out to be one of the good guys, we do still imagine that Liberty will make a push for him … much as he will for many humans.
