Supergirl season 4: Tyler Hoechlin returning; Lois Lane to appear in crossover
Today, The CW confirmed that the Teen Wolf actor is going to be coming back to the role that he last played in season 2 — and also just so happens to be a part that we recently said should come back for a reprisal.

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, executive producers Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller also confirmed that none other than Lois Lane will be appearing on the series for the first time — we’ve already met her sister Lucy (played by Jenna Dewan, who should return in her own right), but now the most-famous Lane is coming on board the series. We’ve already seen many iterations of this character over the years (Margot Kidder, Teri Hatcher, Amy Adams, and Erica Durance, just to name a few), so whoever is cast in this role has their work cut out for them.
Here’s what the producers had to say in a new statement:
“We couldn’t be more excited to introduce Lois Lane to the Arrowverse … This dogged, determined and brave reporter will make for a strong partner to Superman and amazing addition to our universe of DC characters.”
We admit that there’s a part of us that wants to see some scenes featuring Iris West, Kara, and Lois — it’s a super-reporter team! Who wouldn’t want that?
Almost everything about this news excites us, save for the part where it is happening during the crossover, which already is giving you Batwoman for the first time. We just wonder if Lois Lane / the return of Superman are going to be short-changed because of everything else that is going on and the focus on Batwoman. There are three hours to tell this story, but it will go by quickly as all good things tend to do.
