Outlander season 4 premiere date: Did Starz quietly announce it?
The video below comes via the network’s Facebook page, and at the very end of it you can see the date of November 4 listed. This is the first time that Starz has done this on any promotional video for the series, and with that, there’s a strong indication here that this is, in fact, the date.
Is it official, though? Well, we’re not going to go so far as to claim it 100% just yet (a.k.a. putting it on the CarterMatt Premiere Guide) since there is no public announcement from the network or press release; for the record, a premiere date for Outlander is the sort of thing we typically get press releases on. It’s possible the date was left on the promo by mistake and/or that this was meant as a likely premiere date (a placeholder, for now) but an official announcement is coming down the road. Starz just may not have been ready to make it official yet in case something changes, given that we are still three months out.
Now with all this being said, we do think that November 4 is the perfect date in order to launch the new season. This is what we’ve wanted ever since we first learned that the series was premiering in November, aa it gives the network the chance in order to air a few episodes before Thanksgiving in the United States. Meanwhile, it also affords them the chance to air a sizable chunk of the season before the holidays. That gives them some flexibility should they decide to take a couple of weeks off close to Christmas and New Year’s Day, which is certainly possible (though we’re fine with them airing it the whole way through).
This potential premiere date news is a nice compliment to a great week for the show, which also included a season 4 teaser (which you can see over here) — we also have our own analysis of that in the video below if you haven’t seen that. Be sure to subscribe to get some more TV updates!
Of course, if this news is confirmed we will let you know.
Update: A new version of the video has the premiere date removed. For now, though, we’d still say to mark November 4 in pencil into your calendar … just not permanent marker.
If November 4 turns out the be the season 4 premiere date, how excited will you be? Share in the comments!

November 4th is the end of Daylight Savings time, so I hope everyone remembers to change the time on their clocks or they’ll miss out on the very first moment to see season 4. For those who have Daylight Savings time, that is.
