Power season 5 episode 5 video: Is Ghost getting forced out?
Want a quick reminder as to why? Well, just remember the way in which this past episode of the show concluded with Dre joining Tate and his team and this is bad news for Ghost for many reasons. For starters, it is pigeonholing him and forcing him to work alongside someone he considers to be one of his worst enemies. It’s someone he’s already tried to kill and yet, he’s now in a spot where he may have to be on his side in order to complete the neighborhood project and honor Raina in a public, “meaningful” way.
Yet, as the promo that CarterMatt has for you below indicates, it does also appear as though Ghost is being forced out of some of the very work that he has tried to pride himself on. This is bad, and especially so when you consider for a moment some of what Ghost has already given up in order to try to make something happen … including something resembling a proper grieving process for his daughter.
While Ghost handles what’s going on with Dre, Tasha’s going to be doing some of what she needs to, visiting Silver in order to figure out her next move in the investigation into Ray Ray’s death. Terry still wants to know why she’s protecting Jamie, but what he hasn’t quite figured out yet is how much she’s actually protecting Tariq instead. Tariq will have a big role in this episode — after all, it’s his birthday! We’re just not willing to assume that it is going to be an altogether happy one. He’s spent the past episode or so away from his family and we’re still not sure if his new surroundings are a good or bad influence on him.
