NCIS: New Orleans season 5 filming is officially underway!
This glorious news was first confirmed earlier this week in a new Twitter image by Rob Kerkovich (Sebastian Lund) — which, by the way, may be the first time someone has ever confirmed filming by posting a picture of their recently-cut hair. Hey, Sebastian’s got a specific look and Rob’s gotta keep that!
Filming will continue from now until the spring, and we’re sure that there are many big announcements that are going to be coming in the weeks ahead. For starters, remember that the CBS series is currently in the process of casting a new series regular, someone who could fill the void left by Percy’s departure last season. There are also still likely some high-octane sequences to be shot and interesting, character-specific stories. There is often a big cliffhanger that will need to eventually be unraveled via what happened with Pride. While we do think that there will eventually be some sort of time jump in order to push the series further, that may not be something that happens right away. Personally, we’d like to spend a little bit of time dealing with the immediate aftermath of what happened before jumping forward to life after the recovery. At that point, it would make a little bit more sense to have Pride out in the field again.
New episodes of NCIS: New Orleans will start airing on CBS come Tuesday, September 25 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time, following the premiere of new series FBI. Rest assured that we’re going to have many more updates when it comes to filming moving forward.
