Chicago Fire season 6 finale spoilers: Are Dawson, Brett in danger?

Chicago Fire season 6 finale

What’s coming up on the Chicago Fire season 6 finale? There are two episodes coming your way on Thursday, May 10 and these should help to tie together some of the stories that we’ve seen so far. Of course, given that this is the finale, it’s also going to be a likely source of stress for many weeks and months to come. We had that last year with Mouch, Casey, and others. Moving out of this finale, we’ve got a rather big fear that something terrible could happen to Brett and Dawson.

Want some more details? Well, check out what NBC has for you below.

Season 6 episode 22, “One for the Ages”

Boden takes a big step in the pursuit of a major career decision. Kidd becomes increasingly distrustful of Renee’s (guest star Sarah Shahi) motives with Severide. Herrmann has trouble bouncing back after a tragedy.

Season 6 episode 23, “The Grand Gesture”

Boden’s chances for a promotion are met with potential complications, leading him to take matters into his own hands. Dawson and Casey don’t see eye to eye on an important decision, while Kidd finds herself struggling to find time with Severide. Brett and Dawson respond to a tough call that quickly turns dangerous.

While there’s no guarantee in here that both Brett and Dawson are in grave danger based on this alone, it does absolutely still feel like you’ve got a good reason to be concerned. Beyond just that, this finale could be a big opportunity to see and understand more of where Kidd and Severide stand and beyond that, hopefully also see if Boden ends up sticking around Firehouse 51. That’s always a complicated situation — we want to see him as successful as he wants to be. Yet, at the same time we don’t want to see something happen that causes him to leave the Firehouse. That’s the ultimate trade-off when it comes to career ambitions with some of these characters.
