The 100 season 5 spoilers: Bob Morley on Bellamy’s state of mind

The premiere of The 100 season 5 is almost here! Tuesday, April 24 is just a few weeks away and there are clearly quite a few things that are going to be different. For starters, we’re going to be looking at a massive time jump, and to go along with that a very different world. It wouldn’t be all that much of a surprise to learn that the first few episodes of the new season take their time to set the table and showcase how much characters have changed before diving into some new topics — such as reuniting the worlds that were in some ways separated.

One of the most important events seemingly coming will be the potential reunion between Bellamy and Clarke. For the past six years, he’s believed her to be dead and you have to think that this reunion will be a pretty big deal. Beyond just that though, Clarke is going to find a different Bellamy, one that has more reasoning and empathy than he perhaps had beforehand.

In speaking on this subject a little bit further to TV Guide, Bob Morley himself had the following message to pass along:

“Clarke says to him at the end of [Season 4] that he has to use his head and his heart and I think he’s really taken that on board and applying that … [This mentality has] really forced him to become much more level-headed and understanding of other people. So in that respect, thinking that she has died has made him a much more grounded and level-headed person.”

Granted, Bellamy being this sort of person now is no guarantee that he will remain this sort of person forever. Finding out how he is with Clarke back as a part of his life could prove interesting … but there are also several threats that he could be facing, including a wasteland-of-an-earth full of surprises and some very dangerous characters we are going to get to meet.
