The Good Karma Hospital season 2 episode 2 preview: Gabriel’s past surfaces

The Good Karma Hospital

ITV seems to be developing a scripted TV lineup with a theme on Sunday nights: Destinations far away. First, you have The Durrells in Corfu. Then, you have The Good Karma Hospital in South India. This series will continue next week with season 2 episode 2, an installment that is going to continue to allow you an opportunity to get to know some of the main characters a little bit better.

On this particular occasion Gabriel could be in the spotlight, which could prove useful as we also get to know and understand more the relationship between him and Ruby. The more we learn about his past, the more his future is informed. Tonight’s episode will show more in terms of where he and Ruby are now; the next few episodes should better chart a path towards their future.

Below, The Good Karma Hospital season 2 episode 2 synopsis gives you a little more of a sense as to what’s coming:

Lydia discovers a former patient is in the care of a herbal doctor and she’s determined to win back her patient’s trust. Ruby and Gabriel treat a patient with a mystery condition and Gabriel reveals something of his past.

Hopefully, viewers do end up connecting to this series and its characters in the same way that they did the first time around — part of the appeal with this show is taking some of the classic themes of a medical drama and injecting them into a new place with a new culture around them. There is a little bit of mystery associated with that since you don’t quite know how these characters are going to mesh over time. (There are in total seven episodes to come tonight, so there is plenty of time to be excited over what’s coming.)
