The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 15 transforms into a noir
If you watch the promo, what you’re ultimately going to have a chance to see are a number of random, super-funny moments that take place in part within an alternate dimension. Why in the world are some of these characters imagined as though they are in a 1940’s noir? Well, that could be in part due to the fact that we are seeing the world through Leonard’s imagined eyes. We know that in this episode, he is working on a book — in turn, he may be fashioning book versions of most of his friends. That seems to be what this scene is replicating.
So, what’s the reasoning for this story coming to fruition on the show? It may have to do with whatever sort of character Penny is playing here. She may not be fond of precisely how she has “inspired” Leonard to do whatever it is that he did with her character within the book.

In general, this episode looks like a blast just because it’s a great opportunity to see different iterations of some of these characters from what we’ve become accustomed to seeing. For the cast, it probably also is a blast to step outside of themselves to a certain extent. They’ve got a chance to mix things up and goof off a little.
What else is coming in this episode?
Amy’s going to get a chance to appear on TV! Apparently, it’s coming via the Professor Proton show, and Sheldon is the one who clues her in on the opportunity. Is he really going to be okay with this? That’s the question that we’re wondering at present.
