The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 14 review: Walton Goggins, Beth Behrs
Basically, Behrs played tonight a new possible love interest for Raj in Nell, someone he met while at the Observatory who seemed very interested in him. The two had a good time, but it wasn’t until the next morning that he learned that she was actually still married. They were separated for two weeks before the date, but Raj still felt weird about it.
Suffice it to say, things got a little bit more interesting when Nell’s husband Oliver (Goggins) turned up at the Observatory. When we first heard about this episode, we assumed that he was going to be playing some sort of tough-guy who would terrify Raj like Lee Russell did most people on Vice Principals. As it turns out, he was actually a tough guy with a huge heart who spent most of the episode sobbing his eyes out. This was a surprising turn, especially since he and Oliver bonded a little bit.

Basically, the relationship between Nell and Raj ended shortly after this, mostly because Raj just kept picturing Oliver sobbing anytime he kissed her. The image of Oliver sobbing was pretty silly, but nonetheless it was worthy of some laughs. At the end of the episode, it turned out that Oliver and Nell got back together … and Raj was happy for them!
Leonard’s struggle
Basically, tonight’s episode was a reminder that Leonard really loves the chaos. Sheldon rented out his old bedroom as a workspace, but when it turned out that he was behaving perfectly in there and not acting like a crazy person at all, he started to get a little bit suspicious. Sheldon did nothing wrong, and that fact alone (hilariously) drove Leonard up the wall. It made for one of the most entertaining sequences that we’ve seen on The Big Bang Theory as Leonard eventually drove himself so nuts without Sheldon drama that he needed it to feel normal again.
CarterMatt verdict
The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 14 proved to be a really fun episode anchored by some great performances from Behrs and Goggins in small roles. It was nice to have a Raj-focused storyline, especially one that put his crazy-but-entertaining romantic life on display.
