MacGyver season 2 episode 12 promo: Who punches Mac in the face?

MacGyver season 2 episode 12 is airing on CBS Friday night, and based on the new promo below all indications suggest that this is going to be a pretty important installment of the show. After all, it’s an origin story for the title character … and also a chance to see him get punched in the face.

In this promo (which CarterMatt has for you below) it’s none other than Jack Dalton who does the punching, which serves as another big indicator that within the world of MacGyver, things did not start off with Mac and Jack on the same page. They didn’t get along right away and that shouldn’t really surprise anyone, especially when you consider the fact that Mac is super-intelligent and doesn’t always have much of a filter for it. Jack, in turn, doesn’t like to be told what to do or that there’s a better way of doing something than what he suggests. The relationship between these two is chaotic right away, and they have clearly had to learn the value of compromise. If they collaborate and work together there’s a pretty good chance that they can solve some of the biggest problems facing the world. They’ve come to realize that over time, but it hasn’t been altogether easy for them to do so.

This episode, (if the picture above and the promo didn’t give it away) will be throwing these two characters back to their days working within the military.

Here’s the one question we’re still left wondering: What in the world is happening with Samantha Cage? Is she still okay, or is the character going to die after what happened with Murdoc at the end of the first half of the season? MacGyver has certainly done a great job creating a nail-biter here, especially since they haven’t quite given away anything in the promotional material for either this episode or the ones coming up after it.
