The Flash season 4 episode 10 spoilers: ‘The Trial of the Flash’ details
As some of you who are rather familiar with the comics know, the Trial of the Flash is a major event. It’s orchestrated in a different way on the show with Clifford DeVoe at the center of it, but we like that the writers are finding ways to warp and remix storylines as opposed to just doing the same thing note for note. Based on the progress of the fourth season overall, especially compared to a so-so season 3, there’s a lot to like with what the series is bringing to the table.
Below, CarterMatt has the just-released The Flash season 4 episode 10 synopsis, just in case you are anxious to read a little more insight into what’s ahead:
BARRY FIGHTS FOR HIS LIFE – As Barry’s (Grant Gustin) trial for the murder of Clifford DeVoe begins, Iris (Candice Patton) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) must decide how far they are willing to go to keep Barry out of prison. Philip Chipera directed the episode written by Lauren Certo & Kristen Kim (#410). Original airdate 1/16/2018.
The part of this synopsis that is, bar none, the most interesting is the part describing “how far [Iris and Joe] are willing to go” in order to save Barry. Is it possible that one of them could actually consider taking the fall? It’s a pretty insane thing to think about, but it’s also something that you do have to think is possible based on what we know about these two. Both parties love Barry in their own way, and while neither wants to be behind bars, they also may believe that having The Flash a free man is more important than anything else. We do have to say this: How terrible would it be if Barry, fresh off of his honeymoon, is put on trial only for his new wife to take the fall for him? That’d be pretty depressing and it’d put Barry, once more, in a precarious position. It’s not great optics that The Flash busts his wife out of prison; given that Barry Allen was on trial, all of a sudden it may add to the whole thinking that Barry is The Flash. (We imagine that Wally could don the signature costume while he’s locked up to keep suspicion off of him.)
