The Originals series finale wraps; Candice King appearing
We know that this may sound slightly confusing at first glance, given that the show had itself a wrap party over the weekend. How can this happen and there still be filming to do? The only way that we can answer that is by saying that it happens sometimes with shows. They want to have their wrap party at a time when everyone is still around!
Anyhow, there is some other important news to note right now regarding the end of the series and it is that, one way or another, Candice King will be there. Executive producer Julie Plec confirmed as much in a post on Instagram (see below) featuring herself and the former Vampire Diaries star. While this appearance doesn’t necessarily confirm that Klaroline is endgame on The Originals, it perhaps gives you a little more of a sense of this than almost anything else that we’ve posted to date. If Caroline is in the final episode, that more than likely means that she’ll have some interaction with Klaus. King is appearing in multiple episode of The Originals and she remains one of the few characters from The Vampire Diaries who doesn’t have a proper ending set in stone.
Now that filming is coming to a close we are to move on to what is the next order of business for the show: Trying to figure out just when it could be premiering. Based on the current CW release schedule you can go ahead and rule out January; it’s possible that it will be back in either February or later in the spring, but nothing is confirmed yet. We just hope for a proper send-off here given that we’re talking about a show that had a long and successful life as a part of the great Julie Plec vampire universe.

I would have loved Klaus ending up with Cami – but unfortunately she only comes to Klaus in his dreams now. Originals has been one of my favorite shows and I have enjoyed all the adventures of the Mikaelsons and their extended family and partners in crime. Don’t think 13 episodes will do it justice to wrap it all up.
