Quantico season 3 spoilers: Priyanka Chopra series on the move

When Quantico season 3 premiere on ABC next year, expect to see the Priyanka Chorpa series overseas for a time.

According to a new report from TVLine, the upcoming season 3 premiere is going to contain some scenes that were filmed on location over in Italy. Chopra is set to film some scenes in the country, but remains to be seen who else will be joining her. Ironically, Quantico is not the only show this fall to have filmed part of its upcoming story in another country — after all, Blindspot season 3 is doing something similar with its premiere episode, which is being filmed specifically in Venice.

Russell Tovey, Johanna Braddy and Jake McLaughlin are all returning to the show in a major capacity, and you’re also going to have a chance to see Marlee Matlin around as a new agent who is a key component to the story. The third season does not have a firm premiere date, and while we don’t have any news as to when that will be right now, signs point to either January (the official start to midseason) or in the spring.

The one thing that we do have a good bit of confidence in at the moment is that when Quantico season 3 does premiere, the show is going to be changing things up slightly when it comes to its format. New showrunner Michael Seitzman is going to be taking over after two seasons with Josh Safran in the helm; meanwhile, we’re going to see things slow down slightly when it comes to the craziness. This is a smaller, more simplified version of the show. While the stakes are going to be just as high as ever, it seems as though a smaller cast and focus will make the series a little less complicated and easier for new viewers to follow. The show tried things the other way through the first two seasons of the show, and while some viewers loved it, it did experience a drop in the ratings over time.
