Snowfall finale spoilers: The pains of the job

The first Snowfall finale spoilers are now out there courtesy of the fine folks over at FX, and there is one big takeaway that we have: Concern. We’re concerned above all else for Franklin not in terms of whether or not he survives, but more of what becomes of him when he does. This is a story about evolution, about survival, and also without downfall. Finding success in rapid fashion can come with some substantial benefits, but it can also come with its own fair share of problems. For Franklin, he’s gotta decide whether or not some of the sacrifices that lay before him are worth it.

One of the things that structurally, you may be noticing entering the finale is that everything is starting to finally come together. There were some concerns early on with the pace of this show; there may have been some frustrations there, but the storylines are coming to a head entering the finale and the sorts of interactions coming are the sort that should be exciting to see unfold. There’s still a newness to some of them, given that you don’t know what’s going to happen around every turn.

Alas, the official synopsis for the finale doesn’t exactly hand out a whole lot in the way of information about what’s coming next.

Snowfall finale synopsis – “Franklin solidifies his future. Teddy’s hand is forced. Lucia decides between business and family.”

Commercially, there is a comfort level that comes with watching the finale knowing full well that FX is satisfied with the show. While there were some people who bailed on the series in the early going, those of you who stuck around found out a lot of stuff to like here, from strong performances to great visuals and brutal reminders as to how difficult the crack “business” really is. It’s too bad that some of these characters don’t have the same comfort level that we do as viewers. Remember that there is already a second season of Snowfall on order, and it is going to premiere at some point in the new year. There’s going to be some other information on that in due time.
