Snowfall episode 7 spoilers: Falling apart; ratings, season 2 renewal

Snowfall season 1

Curious to know a thing or two more about Snowfall episode 7? Well, we’ve got that for you and much more today.

Let’s start by focusing on the episode itself, given that we are now at the point in the show when some of the stakes are going to start to be raised. Franklin and company have gone through so much over the course of the show already, and we anticipate that we’re going to see that continue (and escalate) as we near the finale. They’ll be expanding what is their empire, but feeling some blowback of it here and there. This is the thing with success: You’ve got more people looking to take you down, and so many more ways in which you can fall flat on your face.

Below (via FX), you can get some additional news as to what is coming up next.

Snowfall episode 7 synopsis – “Franklin, Leon and Kevin take a game-changing road trip. Teddy deals with a sin from Alejandro’s past. Lucia makes Gustavo’s partnership official, much to Pedro’s dismay. Written by Aaron Slavick; directed by Zetna Fuentes.”

All sorts of good news

Let’s kick things off with the following: Snowfall is going to be coming back for a second season! The news was announced earlier today, which makes some sense when you stop in for a moment and consider that the ratings have been solid like a rock through the first five episodes. There was a small drop-off following the premiere, but since that point they haven’t fluctuated much at all.

Case in point: The ratings for this past installment of the show, which amounted to a 0.4 in the 18-49 demographic to go along with over 1 million viewers. Those numbers are fairly in line with everything else we’ve seen coming out of FX, and they spell great opportunities for the show to move forward with other interesting/unique stories. The biggest thing that this network wants to see is consistency and opportunities to continue growing. We do think that this show is going to have that chance both in this season and beyond. There are so many different people after the fact who are going to learn about this show via either word of mouth or streaming providers.

While the show’s longevity is ultimately down to the showrunners and the cast, we do think that Snowfall is a series that has a reasonably good chance of sticking around for a long time still. We’ll be sure to take a look back every week still to see if the numbers change or fluctuate.
