‘How to Get Away with Murder’ season 3 finale: Who killed Wes?
We suppose that technically, the father himself didn’t do it; he hired Dominic to blow up Annalise’s house instead. Still, this was a stunning conclusion to a story that featured a wide array of suspects. For the longest time, we assumed that it was something tied much more to the Wes character himself. Instead, it was a tad more complicated.
It’s fair to presume that there are many people out there surprised with the end result of the episode; for the record, you can say the same thing about Karla Souza, who plays the Laurel character. Speaking to TVLine on the subject, she passed along the following message:
“I definitely never thought my dad would have involvement with killing the love of my life. And in the episode where I decided to sign my soul away to him, we now find out that I was actually signing a piece of paper that said I was never kidnapped, even though I was. The fact that he just keeps ruining my life is definitely something that will grow in Season 4. It was a shock to know my dad was involved in that, and I don’t even know how I’m going to deal, Laurel-wise, with that. It took us all by surprise.”
Very little is resolved
There are still SO many questions that linger out there as we look ahead now to the fourth season, especially given there’s the whole issue of motive for Dominic / Laurel’s father that comes into play and what they were specifically planning to do leading up to it. Also, you’ve got a huge Connor / Oliver relationship cliffhanger that needs to absolutely be resolved in the opening minutes of season 4.
Still, if you wanted a thrilling finale to end season 3, it’s clear that you got just that. If you’re curious, we’ve already got an article online where we detail some possibilities for season 4. (Photo: ABC.)
