‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 18, episode 12 preview: A Fin episode awaits in ‘No Surrender’
For those of you out there who love Fin episodes of “Law & Order: SVU,” rest assured that you’re going to be getting a big one next week! “No Surrender” is going to be an installment that looks back on the character’s time in the military, while also taking on an issue that is unfortunately still far too prevalent in this world: Sexual assault within this community. It happens, and often it is either not reported on or prosecuted. As a result of this, trauma and PTSD can form, leading to further, life-altering problems when justice never becomes a reality.
Hopefully, Fin is going to be able to be a hero in this episode, with of course the help of Olivia Benson and everyone else at the Special Victims Unit. This is a case that creatively will differentiate itself from the ones that have come before it recently, while still bringing to you a powerful, extremely important message.
Synopsis – “Fin (Ice T) revisits his military roots when a fellow Army Ranger (guest star Sarah Booth) struggles to recover from a sexual assault.”
As for the roster of guest stars, you are going to see Ryan Metcalf (Mickey Reid), Brian Charles Johnson (George “G-Man” Fortino), Kris Eivers (Gary Cook), Joe Holt (Major Robert Dantley), Frankie G (Jose Marquez), Leslie Lyles (Sylvia Williams) and Perry Yung (Master Randy Lui). As per usual, this show continues to bring a great group of guests in week in and week out. The synopsis is short, but this is very much in the vein of everything that the show tends to do when promoting stories in advance.
