‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 4, and the sadder side of Jenny

More -

While “Sleepy Hollow” may be a show that does like to emphasize humor and adventure at times, there’s no denying that there is a decidedly tragic note now in the air as we continue to press on into the upcoming fourth season. Abbie, a Witness and one of the most powerful people on the show, is now gone. Not only that, but so are many other characters. Ichabod Crane and Jenny Mills are two of the only major characters from the early days of the show still around, and they’re going to be heading off towards Washington DC for what is a dramatic reinvention. We like the photo above just because Headless is terrifying, but in some ways he even feels far removed thematically at this point.

In speaking to TVLine, Lyndie Greenwood does admit that there are some rather dark times ahead for her character, which you would expect from someone who doesn’t really have anyone close to her anymore except for Crane; yet, at the same time, she admits that it does give her good material:

“She’s really cold, because her work is all she has. She doesn’t have the family so much anymore, but it’s also kind of fun … She’s a tough girl… There’s some cool Jenny badassery.”

To us, the looseness of the fourth season may be one of the things that is exciting about it, even if there is some obvious trepidation that we have about the show as a whole. It is interesting that a number of characters could have a “what do I have to lose?” mentality, and that could cause them to be a little more reckless or free-wheeling at times. Also, there should be something appealing that comes from watching everyone try to figure out their new purpose.

Do you think that there is a way for Jenny to turn things around and find more peace on the upcoming season? Share below, and be sure to head over here in order to see more of what newcomer Janina Gavankar has to say about joining the show. (Photo: Fox.)
