‘The X Factor’ UK results preview: Why Ryan Lawrie, Honey G, Four of Diamonds should fear elimination
Tonight, “The X Factor” is airing their latest results-show episode, and going into it, we do think that there is a genuine reason for some of the remaining acts to be afraid. Someone is going to be sent home at the end of the hour, and we’re starting to get the sense that there is a real divide between the best and worst acts in the competition.
For example, it wouldn’t shock us in the slightest of Ryan Lawrie meets his end in the competition tonight. He seems like a nice kid, but in terms of talent, he’s in over his head at this point. Other than Honey G (who is entertaining for a very different sort of reason), everyone else remaining in the competition at the moment is a better performer than he is. We just don’t think he’s got either the memorability or the fan support to carry the day any longer than he has to date.
Meanwhile, we also have to look at Four of Diamonds for a moment. While they were better coming out of this past sing-off, many of the other remaining acts have simply had more time to build up a following. They’ve had to scrap for it, and while we do think they’ve made some progress, there’s still more they need to accomplish.
Finally, let’s turn to Honey G, who really should have been gone a week or two ago. While there is a part of us who feels like she could go home tonight, we still think that she’s got another week or two in her while acts like Ryan get sent home. We’re slightly worried about Saara Aalto just because she’s so out-there, but we’re hoping that other people agree about her being one of the most-improved acts of the entire season.
